Strokes of Genius School Competition
As part of its commitment to promote the development of art and culture amongst young people, the Shoprite Checkers Strokes of Genius project launched an art competition for secondary schools in 2009. The winners of this competition were announced in November.
Pretty Things for Little Things - Winners Announced!
More than 18 000 toys and items of clothing were collected for needy children through the 2009 Pretty Things for Little Things project.
Class of 2010
Every year, during Shoprite’s Back To School campaign, a competition is held on a national basis. The lucky winners receive a full year’s school fees from the Shoprite where they entered.
Toy for toy
The Shoprite Checkers Toy 4 Toy campaign, held annually by Shoprite Checkers in conjunction with the Child Welfare South Africa, urges consumers to donate new or used toys to less privileged children during the festive season.
