In South Africa there is a heart attack recorded every 12 minutes – a quarter of which result in death. The Heart and Stroke Foundation South Africa focuses on recognition and prevention of the disease that affects people of all ages, races and genders.

Research has shown that many of those who take drugs tend to be either misinformed or insufficiently aware of the health risks involved. This leaflet aims to educate people about the nature of drugs and the health risks associated with illicit drug use in order not only to make the right decisions for themselves, but also to identify and help others who might need help overcoming their addiction.
