This wholesome dish combines a variety of nourishing beans with fresh, vibrant greens, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavours that will leave you feeling satisfied and nourished.

Imagine a colourful plate filled with a medley of beans, including tender cannellini beans, hearty black beans, and creamy butter beans.

These legumes offer a rich source of protein and fibre, providing a satisfying base for the dish. But it doesn't stop there, Hope's Beans and Greens takes it a step further by incorporating a vibrant assortment of fresh greens. Think tender spinach leaves, earthy kale, or perhaps a hint of peppery arugula. These greens not only add a burst of colour, but also contribute a delightful freshness to every bite.

To enhance the flavours, a delicate blend of herbs and spices is incorporated, infusing the dish with aromatic notes and depth. The result is a well-balanced combination that is both comforting and invigorating

Directions

1. Heat oil in a saucepan over medium heat. Add greens and salt, and sauté until wilted. ​

 

2. Add red pepper and garlic to the greens and cook for 3 minutes.​

 

3. Drizzle jalapeño sauce over and add cannellini beans to the greens, and cook until beans are heated.​

Serve greens with pap.

  • 15ml oil
  • 150g broccoli florets; roughly chopped
  • 150g kale; shredded
  • 150g spinach; shredded
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ red pepper; finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic; chopped
  • 60ml sweet jalapeño sauce
  • 1 tin cannellini beans
  • Smooth pap to serve
