Directions
In a bag, coat the chicken with the flour.
Heat oil in a heat-proof pan/tray over medium heat. Add chicken to the hot pan skin side down and brown, turning for 5 minutes. Remove chicken from pan.
Return pan to medium low heat, add sugar, water, vinegar, garlic and chillies, and cook stirring for 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves.
Add the beans and return chicken to the pan.
Bake chicken for 15 minutes or until cooked. Serve with Ouma bread to mop up the beans.

- 8 chicken drumsticks and thighs
- 45ml flour
- 30ml chicken spice
- 5ml paprika
- 30ml oil
- 250ml (1 cup) sugar
- 250ml (1 cup) water
- 125ml white wine vinegar
- 3 cloves garlic; chopped
- 15 long red chillies; finely chopped
- 2 tins baked beansOuma bread to serve
