Zanele's Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwiches

Description

Indulge in the rich South African flavours with Zanele's Peppermint Ice Cream Sandwich recipe. This treat is a perfect addition to your Heritage Day feast.

Directions

1. Crush peppermint crisp chocolate and set aside. Allow the ice cream to soften at room temperature  and mix in half of your crushed chocolate mixture. Spread it roughly into a rectangular tin. Freeze for overnight.

 

2. Cut squares of the ice cream mixture out and sandwich together with a Tennis Biscuit on each side.

 

3. Roll the ice cream sandwich into the chopped Peppermint Crisp, coating all the edges. Freeze in a container until ready to serve.

 

 

Tip: for extra indulgence, add caramel treat to your ice-cream mixture before freezing.

  • 360 g Caramel Treat
  • 250 g Peppermint Crisp
