- Before use, shake the pen vigorously to ensure the correction fluid is a uniform consistency. The internal mixing ball should be heard moving freely, indicating the contents are being properly agitated.
- Uncap the pen, revealing the nib. The cap should be replaced securely after each use to prevent the nib from drying out.
- Press the nib down firmly onto the surface to be corrected. The pressure activates the flow of the fluid. A slight 'squeeze' of the barrel can assist in controlling the flow rate.
- Apply a thin, even layer of the fluid over the incorrect text. A single, smooth stroke is often sufficient. Avoid applying too much pressure to prevent flooding the area.
- Allow the correction fluid to dry completely before writing over it. This usually takes a few seconds. The fluid should appear opaque and matte when dry.
- To clean the nib, gently wipe it with a tissue or cloth after use if any residue has built up. This helps maintain a smooth, clog-free application for future use.
- Store the pen in a cool, dry place, either horizontally or with the cap end facing upwards, to prevent leakage and ensure longevity of the product.
