Cheesy Crouton Sides by Chef Zanele

Description

Sprinkled over your salads or stirred into your soups, you won’t ever get enough of these crunchy, cheesy croutons!

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 200 ºC. Cut bread into small cubes. 

2. In a small bowl, mix olive oil, garlic powder and dried thyme.

3. Place bread cubes on a baking tray. Drizzle olive oil mixture over the bread.

4. Sprinkle cheese powder on the bread. Bake for 15 – 20 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.

Ingredients

  • 4 slices bread, ideally two to three days old
  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 1 tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp. dried thyme
  • ½ cup cheese powder
