Hot Baked Pear Pudding by Chef Zanele

Description

This showstopping winter dessert recipe is so much easier than it looks! Your guests will be absolutely wowed when you pull this out of the oven this winter.

Directions

1. Preheat oven to 160 ºC. In a bowl, mix eggs, oil, yoghurt, sugar and vanilla essence.

2. Sift in flour and salt, mix well. Put half of the pears into the mixture then pour mixture in a baking tin.

3. Layer the remaining pears onto the mixture in a decorative way. Bake for 45 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • 1½ cups plain yoghurt
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp. vanilla essence
  • 1½ cups self-raising flour
  • 4 pears; peeled and sliced
  • Pinch of salt
