Creamy Green Beans and Baby Potatoes by Chef Zanele

Description

Quick, easy, delicious and full of veggie goodness plus irresistible bacon. It’s just perfect for your Easter dinner or lunch plans.  

Directions

1. In a pan, heat oil and sauté onion. Add garlic, mushrooms and bacon, and mix well.

2. Stir in cream cheese until melted.

3. Gradually pour in milk, until it has a runny consistency.

4. Season with vegetable seasoning. Allow to simmer for 2 – 3 minutes and serve over the potatoes and green beans.

 

Elevation Tip: 

For extra crunch, make some easy garlic croutons using stale bread, oil and a spoonful of crushed garlic.

  • 1 medium onion; finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic; minced
  • 250 g button mushrooms; sliced
  • 1 cup cooked bacon; finely chopped
  • 300 g baby potatoes; parboiled
  • 250 g green beans
  • 1 tub cream cheese
  • 250 ml milk
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable seasoning
