Description

Malva pudding is the ultimate winter dessert recipe. Tuck into this traditional malva pudding recipe for an easy winter pudding – and don’t forget the custard!

Directions

1.  Preheat the oven to 180 ºC. Grease an oven-proof dish with non-stick spray or vegetable oil. In a bowl, cream the butter, sugar and eggs together until light and fluffy, then add the jam and vinegar into mixture and mix thoroughly.

2.  Sift the flour into a bowl and add salt. Gently stir the flour into the rest of your mixture. Continue to stir while pouring in the milk.

3.  Pour the mixture into the baking tray and bake for 55 minutes or until golden brown on top. While the pudding is baking, you can make your sauce. Bring the ingredients to a boil in a small sauce pan, stirring frequently.

4.  When your pudding comes out of the oven, pour the sauce all over. Serve hot with custard or ice cream. I’ll be surprised if there’s any left for the next day!
