Meatball Kebabs by Chef Zanele

Description

These easy-to-make Meatball Kebabs are a great way to give your guests a meaty, mouth-watering snack on a stick for Easter lunch or dinner.

Directions

1. In a bowl, combine beef, breadcrumbs, garlic, barbecue spice, cumin, coriander, salt and pepper.

2. Using your hands, shape the mixture into round balls. 

3. In a pan, heat the oil over medium heat. Cook the meatballs until brown on all sides.

4. Remove the meatballs and put aside.

5. Soak kebab sticks in water before use. Then thread meatballs and grilled pineapple cubes onto the kebab sticks.

Serve with mayonnaise or cheese dip.

 

Elevation Tips: 

  • To add some spice to your sauce, add a bit of fresh chilli.
  • Or create a yoghurt and coriander drizzling sauce.
  • To make your meatballs extra special, add a centre of cream cheese and coat the meatballs in breadcrumbs and deep fry.

  • ¼ cup breadcrumbs
  • 4 garlic cloves; minced
  • 3 tbsp. barbecue spice
  • 2 tbsp. ground cumin
  • Handful fresh coriander; finely chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp. olive oil
  • 2 pineapples; cubed and grilled
